With all that’s happened this year and all that we’ve lost collectively and individually, I imagine some of you out there might be struggling to be thankful. I know I would be. But I’m in the UK so I don’t need to.

Though Christmas is slowly creeping in. Decorations appearing in stores (I say appearing, they’ve been there for months already it seems) and gifts to buy. Not my favourite pastime.

But this isn’t about that. It’s about a turkey and the displacement of indigenous tribes. I guess. I don’t really know. I write limericks.

Giving of thanks might be tougher this year,
When the difficult times are not over I fear,
A world divided by leaders and money,
So we try to find things that are funny,
Like this short cat video on YouTube my dear!

Cheer up. 2017 isn’t far away.
