Traveling without moving

It’s said that before you judge a man you should walk a mile in their shoes. I have come to think that you should not judge a parent until you walk a mile with their child.

The simplest of trips to town (or returning from town) turn from a pleasant stroll to the most gargantuan battle of wills.

Wrestling a toddler across park and town,
Is an activity that can get you really quite down,
Every bug, chair or tree,
Must get investigated you see,
And you’ll arrive back at home with a frown.

Madness!
